Common questions
How much does window film cost per square foot?
Film starts at $8 per square foot installed, or $10 per square foot when old film has to be removed first. We measure every pane and give you a written quote.
What's the difference between window tint and window film?
Same idea, different glass. "Window tint" usually means film on a car, which we install in our shop. "Window film" is the flat-glass version for homes and businesses, installed on site. Looking for car tint? See window tint.
Will window film lower my cooling bill?
It reduces heat gain through the glass. We won't promise a percentage: any savings figure would have to come from the film maker's published data for the exact film.
Can you remove old, failing film?
Yes. Old film and adhesive come off, the glass is cleaned and new film goes on, from $10 per square foot.
Is security film the same as impact or hurricane glass?
No. Security film helps hold broken glass together, but it is not a substitute for impact-rated glass or shutters and does not make a window hurricane-rated.
