Timing & aftercare
How long it takes, and how to care for it
The car stays with us while it's washed, decontaminated, polished, coated and cured indoors, and the interior and engine bay are detailed. Every car is different, so we'll give you a timeline with your quote.
- Hand wash only. pH-neutral car shampoo, clean microfiber, rinse well, then dry with a soft towel or a blower.
- Skip brush-style automatic washes and harsh degreasers. They wear down any coating faster.
- Get bugs and bird droppings off soon. Coated paint lets lovebugs wipe off, but don't leave them baking in the sun.
- Ask before the first wash. At pickup we'll tell you when the first wash is safe and walk you through how to wash a coated car.

Common questions
What does the Full Ceramic Package include?
A full wash and decontamination, paint polishing, the 5-year ceramic coating applied panel by panel, wheels-off coating, a full interior detail and an engine bay detail, all done and cured indoors at our Venice shop. It starts at $1,499.
What does wheels-off coating mean?
The wheels come off the car so they can be coated too, not just the faces you see with the wheels on.
Does “5-year” mean the coating lasts exactly five years?
5-year coating is the name of the package. How long any coating holds up depends on how the car is washed and stored. Florida sun and brush-style automatic washes shorten the life of any coating, so we go over aftercare at pickup.
How long does the job take?
The car stays with us while it's washed, decontaminated, polished, coated and cured indoors, with the interior and engine bay detailed as part of the package. We'll give you a timeline with your quote, and at pickup we'll tell you when the first wash is safe.
How is it different from the 3-year Ceramic Coating package?
The Ceramic Coating package ($999) uses the 3-year coating with a 1–2 step polish and covers the paint. The Full Ceramic Package ($1,499) uses the 5-year coating and adds a full interior detail, an engine bay detail and wheels-off coating.
Can I add window tint?
Yes. Any ceramic package plus full-vehicle ceramic window tint is 10% off the combined price.
Will it stop scratches and rock chips?
No coating is scratch-proof, and ceramic won't stop rock chips. It adds a hard, slick, glossy layer that resists light marring, UV and chemical etching. For chips, look at paint protection film.
